Don't Depend On Tomorrow

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in life is assuming that we have time.

We should take heed with what the apostle James says: Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. (James 4:13-14)

The truth is that none of our tomorrows are guaranteed. There is always a possibility for every day to be our last day, after which we will enter into the eternal chapter of our lives.

Don't think that you will always have tomorrow to repent and come to Jesus. Or there will always be tomorrow to deal with the sins in your heart. Or there will always be tomorrow to let go of those things you value more than God. Or there will always be tomorrow to forgive or ask for forgiveness. Or there will always be tomorrow to pray, study the word, and worship. Or there will always be tomorrow to serve. Or there will always be tomorrow to give. Or there will always be tomorrow to love.

Let us therefore place urgency and make haste on doing what is right.

Do not always depend on tomorrow because at some point yesterday's tomorrow will never come.
